SF6 Gas Reconditioning - Would you have known…?

The reconditioned SF6 gas has no memory effect. This means that after reconditioning it is no longer possible to trace in which application the SF6 was originally used or what the quality was before reconditioning.

SF6 Gas Reconditioning

The quality of the reconditioned SF6 gas is only defined by the proportion of residual impurities (mainly nitrogen, N2). If the proportion of residual impurities is correspondingly low, for example less than 0.1 %, the overall purity is indicated with 99.9 %. The SF6 is of new gas quality, complies with all current standards and may be sold regularly as SF6 in new gas quality in accordance with UN 1080.

The only difference in this process is that 100 % of the used gas is utilised and does not generate any emissions in the future.
