The quality of the reconditioned SF₆ gas is only defined by the proportion of residual impurities (mainly nitrogen, N₂). If the proportion of residual impurities is correspondingly low, for example less than 0.1 %, the overall purity is indicated with 99.9 %. The SF₆ is of new gas quality, complies with all current standards and may be sold regularly as SF₆ in new gas quality in accordance with UN 1080.

The only difference in this process is that 100 % of the used gas is utilised and does not generate any emissions in the future.
